MATelec HydroWHIZ FPC-63120-B Mild Steel Three Phase 1.5 kW Variable Speed Single Pump Controller

Ideal for single-pump constant pressure, water transfer and hot water circulation, the HydroWHIZ FPC-63120-B combines variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. Its 1.5 kW VSD rating operates from a three-phase 400 Vac supply, adjusting pump speed to match system demand.

System control logic allows selection between level, pressure or temperature modes, with speed adjusted to maintain the selected setpoint. In pressure-control applications, Pipe Fill gently builds line pressure, while jacking pump control brings Pump 1 out of sleep first, with the main pumps starting when it can no longer keep up with demand. Proportional speed control handles level and temperature regulation, while PID pressure control responds to pressure shifts. Pumps are started and stopped in sequence to reduce excessive current draw and minimise water surge or hammer during changes in demand.

The IP44 mild steel cabinet includes integral ventilation, a removable gland plate and thermostatically controlled fan. Features include pump circuit breakers, a padlockable mains isolator and a colour touchscreen HMI with logged event data and diagnostics. Modbus RTU RS485 enables SCADA communication, and a volt-free common fault relay provides BMS signalling.

Manual operation is available for both the system and individual pumps, with a 10-minute timeout returning the controller to automatic operation. Pump limiting can be configured where maximum flow or power requirements need to be kept within defined system limits.
