Single-pump constant pressure, water transfer and hot water circulation applications benefit from the HydroWHIZ FPC-63120-J, which provides variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. Its 18.5 kW VSD rating runs from a three-phase 400 Vac supply, matching motor speed to system demand.
Proportional speed control and PID pressure algorithms with adjustable integral values provide stable system response. Pressure-control functions include jacking pump support, Pipe Fill and Sleep Assist Speed Minimise. Pumps are started and stopped in sequence to reduce excessive current draw and minimise water surge or hammer during changes in demand.
Housed in an IP44 mild steel enclosure with thermostatically controlled fan, the panel includes a colour touchscreen HMI with logged data and diagnostics, pump circuit breakers and a padlockable isolator. The touchscreen provides system and individual pump status, operating modes, logged information, historical faults, run hours and pump starts. External integration is supported via a volt-free common fault relay and Modbus RTU RS485 communication.
Protection features cover high and low limits, no-flow and feedback-signal faults. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions. Pump limiting can be configured where maximum flow or power requirements need to be kept within defined system limits.
Features
- Dedicated circuit breakers secure each pump drive
- Pipe Fill gently builds pipe pressure during startup
- 4-20mA analogue input accepts hydrostatic level or pressure transducers
- Circuit breaker protected low-voltage control and input circuitry
- Pump anti-seize protection runs pumps periodically during low use to help prevent seizing
- Sleep Assist Speed Minimise gradually reduces pump speed to help the system enter sleep sooner
- External padlockable mains isolator switch allows the incoming power supply to be physically isolated during servicing and maintenance
