MATelec HydroWHIZ FPC-63121-C Mild Steel 2.2 kW Variable Speed Single Pump Controller

For single-pump pressure boosting, water transfer and hot water circulation, the HydroWHIZ FPC-63121-C offers variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. The system utilises single-phase 230 Vac input to generate three-phase 230 Vac output, with a 2.2 kW VSD rating matching motor speed to demand.

The single-pump configuration adjusts speed between minimum and maximum limits to maintain pressure or level. Pressure-control functions include jacking pump support, Pipe Fill and Sleep Assist Speed Minimise. Proportional speed control handles level and temperature regulation, while PID pressure control responds to pressure shifts. Pumps are started and stopped in sequence to reduce excessive current draw and minimise water surge or hammer.

Housed in an IP44-rated powder-coated mild steel enclosure with thermostatically controlled fan and removable gland plate, the panel includes pump circuit breakers, a padlockable mains isolator and a colour touchscreen HMI. The touchscreen provides system and individual pump status, historical alarms and logged events. A volt-free common fault relay provides BMS signalling, and Modbus RTU RS485 supports SCADA integration.

Protection features include high and low limits, no-flow detection and feedback signal faults. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions. Pump limiting can be configured where maximum flow or power requirements need to be kept within defined system limits.
