Water transfer, stormwater and sewage with two pumps are managed by the HydroWHIZ FPC-63220-E, providing variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. Its 4 kW VSD rating runs from a three-phase 400 Vac supply, with speed adjusted according to system demand.
Coordinating pump control, the controller provides automatic duty alternation and bumpless transfer to rotate active pumps. Additional pumps are brought into operation as demand increases to maintain the selected setpoint, then removed from service when they are no longer required. Sleep Assist Boost and Pipe Fill reduce pump cycling and gently build pipe pressure during startup, with smooth bumpless transitions between active drives.
Housed in an IP44 mild steel cabinet with integral ventilation and removable gland plate, the panel includes a colour touchscreen HMI with system status, historical alarms and trend graphs, pump circuit breakers and a padlockable isolator. The touchscreen provides system and individual pump status, operating modes and logged information. A volt-free common fault relay provides BMS signalling, and Modbus RTU RS485 supports SCADA integration.
Configurable protection covers high and low limits, no-flow and feedback-signal faults. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions. Manual operation is available for both the system and individual pumps, with a 10-minute timeout returning the controller to automatic operation.
Features
- Pipe Fill gently builds pipe pressure during startup
- Serial RS485 terminal block supporting Modbus RTU for SCADA integration
- Jacking pump control brings Pump 1 out of sleep first, with the main pumps starting when it can no longer keep up with demand
- 4-20mA analogue input compatible with level, pressure or temperature transducers
- Volt-free common fault output provides BMS signalling
- Configurable low-pressure and no-flow protection
- Pump anti-seize protection runs pumps periodically during low use to help prevent seizing
