MATelec HydroWHIZ FPC-63220-J Mild Steel Three Phase 18.5 kW Variable Speed Two Pump Controller

Water transfer, stormwater and sewage with two pumps are managed by the HydroWHIZ FPC-63220-J, offering variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. Its 18.5 kW VSD rating runs from a three-phase 400 Vac supply, with speed adjusted according to system demand.

Coordinating the two pumps, the controller handles duty rotation and staging to maintain system pressure or level. Adjustable duty sharing and alternation allow operating responsibility to be rotated between pumps, while bumpless transfer helps maintain smooth operation when the duty pump changes. In pressure-control applications, Pipe Fill slowly builds line pressure while jacking pump control wakes Pump 1 first, bringing the second pump online if demand increases.

Bumpless transfer ensures smooth transitions when changing between duty and standby pumps. The IP44 mild steel cabinet includes integral cooling and a removable gland plate for straightforward cable entry.

A colour touchscreen HMI provides system and individual pump status, operating modes, logged information, historical faults, run hours, pump starts and trend graphs. Modbus RTU RS485 allows integration with SCADA systems, and a volt-free common fault contact provides remote status indication for BMS.

Configurable protection covers high and low limits, no-flow, pump cycle protection and feedback-signal faults. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions.
