MATelec HydroWHIZ FPC-63221-A Mild Steel 0.75 kW Variable Speed Two Pump Controller

Pressure boosting, water transfer and hot water circulation with two pumps are handled by the HydroWHIZ FPC-63221-A, providing variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. The system utilises single-phase 230 Vac input to generate three-phase 230 Vac output, with a 0.75 kW VSD rating adjusting speed according to system demand.

With automatic duty rotation and bumpless transfer, operating hours are balanced between the two pumps. Additional pumps are brought into operation as demand increases to maintain the selected setpoint, then removed from service when they are no longer required. Pumps are started and stopped in sequence to reduce excessive current draw and minimise water surge or hammer. Sleep Assist Speed Minimise and Sleep Assist Boost extend sleep periods and reduce pump cycling.

Proportional speed control responds to level or temperature signals, with PID control handling pressure applications. The IP44 mild steel enclosure includes a thermostatically controlled fan and removable gland plate for installation flexibility.

A colour touchscreen HMI provides system and individual pump status, operating modes, logged information and diagnostic functions. Modbus RTU RS485 supports SCADA and BMS integration, and a common fault relay delivers remote alarm signalling.

Protection features include high and low limits, no-flow and feedback-signal faults. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions. Manual operation is available for both the system and individual pumps, with a 10-minute timeout returning the controller to automatic operation.
