MATelec HydroWHIZ FPC-63221-B Mild Steel 1.5 kW Variable Speed Two Pump Controller

Water transfer, stormwater and sewage with two pumps are managed by the HydroWHIZ FPC-63221-B, offering variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. The system utilises single-phase 230 Vac input to generate three-phase 230 Vac output, with a 1.5 kW VSD rating with speed adjusted according to system demand.

The controller executes duty sharing, rotation and staging as demand changes, with bumpless transfer for smooth transitions between pumps. Additional pumps are brought into operation as demand increases to maintain the selected setpoint, then removed from service when they are no longer required. Pressure-control functions include Pipe Fill for gentle line pressurisation and jacking pump control for low-demand operation.

Proportional and integral PID settings allow the pump speed response to be tuned for specific applications. The IP44 mild steel cabinet includes integral ventilation and a removable gland plate for field wiring.

Setup and monitoring are handled through a colour touchscreen HMI, with Modbus RTU RS485 providing connectivity to SCADA systems. The touchscreen provides system and individual pump status, logged events and trend graphs. A volt-free common fault relay offers remote status indication.

Configurable protection covers high and low limits, no-flow and pump cycle protection. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions.
