MATelec HydroWHIZ FPC-63221-C Mild Steel 2.2 kW Variable Speed Two Pump Controller

Two-pump water transfer, stormwater and sewage applications are addressed by the HydroWHIZ FPC-63221-C, providing variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. The system utilises single-phase 230 Vac input to generate three-phase 230 Vac output, with a 2.2 kW VSD rating with speed adjusted according to system demand.

With automatic duty alternation and bumpless transfer, the controller balances run hours between pumps. Additional pumps are brought into operation as demand increases to maintain the selected setpoint, then removed from service when they are no longer required. Sleep Assist Boost and Pipe Fill reduce pump cycling and gently pressurise empty pipelines, while staggered start-stop delays reduce water surge.

Proportional speed control handles level and temperature regulation, while PID control responds to pressure changes with adjustable proportional and integral settings. The IP44-rated mild steel enclosure includes a thermostatically controlled fan and removable gland plate.

A colour touchscreen HMI provides system and individual pump status, operating modes, logged information and diagnostic functions. Modbus RTU RS485 enables SCADA communication, and a common fault relay supplies remote alarm signalling.

Protection functions include high and low limits, no-flow and feedback-signal faults. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions. Pump limiting can be configured where maximum flow or power requirements need to be kept within defined system limits.
