Stormwater, sewage and water transfer with three pumps benefit from the HydroWHIZ FPC-63320-D, which provides variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. Its 3 kW VSD rating runs from a three-phase 400 Vac supply, matching motor speed to system demand.
Coordinating pump control, the controller provides automatic duty alternation and bumpless transfer to rotate duty pumps and stagger startup cycles. Additional pumps are brought into operation as demand increases to maintain the selected setpoint, then removed from service when they are no longer required. In pressure-control modes, Pipe Fill gently builds line pressure, while jacking pump control wakes Pump 1 first, bringing additional pumps online as demand increases. Pumps are started and stopped in sequence to reduce excessive current draw and minimise water surge or hammer.
Proportional speed control handles level and temperature applications, with PID control managing pressure using configurable proportional and integral values. Housed in an IP44 mild steel enclosure with thermostatically controlled fan, the panel includes a colour touchscreen HMI and padlockable isolator.
Modbus RTU RS485 supports SCADA integration, with a common fault relay providing remote alarm signalling. Protection functions include high and low limits, no-flow and feedback-signal faults. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions.
Features
- Individual pump circuit breaker protection helps isolate a fault with an individual pump or cable
- Padlockable main isolating switch allows the incoming power supply to be physically isolated during servicing and maintenance
- Modbus RTU RS485 supports SCADA integration
- Pipe Fill gently builds pipe pressure during startup
- Thermostatically controlled fan provides enclosure ventilation
- Jacking pump control brings Pump 1 out of sleep first, with the main pumps starting when it can no longer keep up with demand
- 4-20mA analogue terminal for direct transducer integration in level or pressure setups
