Water transfer, stormwater and sewage with four-pump configurations benefit from the HydroWHIZ FPC-63420-A, which delivers variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. Its 0.75 kW VSD rating runs from a three-phase 400 Vac supply, matching motor speed to system demand.
With automatic duty rotation and bumpless transfer, the controller balances run hours across all four pumps. Additional pumps are brought into operation as demand increases to maintain the selected setpoint, then removed from service when they are no longer required. Pumps are started and stopped in sequence to reduce excessive current draw and minimise water surge or hammer. Sleep Assist Speed Minimise and jacking pump control help manage low-demand periods effectively.
Proportional speed control responds to level or temperature signals, with PID control handling pressure applications. The IP44 mild steel enclosure with thermostatically controlled fan includes a colour touchscreen HMI for system monitoring and programming. The touchscreen provides system and individual pump status, operating modes, logged events and diagnostic functions.
Modbus RTU RS485 supports SCADA integration, and a volt-free common fault relay provides remote alarm signalling. Configurable protection covers high and low limits, no-flow and feedback-signal faults. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions.
Features
- Eight digital 24Vdc inputs for backup float switches, pressure switches or thermostats
- Colour touchscreen HMI for monitoring, diagnostics and alarm logging
- Sleep Assist Speed Minimise gradually reduces pump speed to help the system enter sleep sooner
- Padlockable mains power isolator switch allows the incoming power supply to be physically isolated during servicing and maintenance
- 4-20mA analogue input compatible with level, pressure or temperature transducers
- Jacking pump control brings Pump 1 out of sleep first, with the main pumps starting when it can no longer keep up with demand
- Individual pump circuit breaker protection
