MATelec HydroWHIZ FPC-63420-B Mild Steel Three Phase 1.5 kW Variable Speed Four Pump Controller

Stormwater, sewage and water transfer with four pumps are addressed by the HydroWHIZ FPC-63420-B, providing variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. Its 1.5 kW VSD rating runs from a three-phase 400 Vac supply, with speed adjusted according to system demand.

Coordinating pump control, the controller provides automatic duty alternation and bumpless transfer to rotate active pumps. Additional pumps are brought into operation as demand increases to maintain the selected setpoint, then removed from service when they are no longer required. Sleep Assist Boost and Pipe Fill reduce pump cycling and gently build pipe pressure during startup, with staggered starting reducing excessive current draw and water hammer.

Jacking pump control brings Pump 1 out of sleep first, activating additional pumps when demand increases. Housed in an IP44-rated powder-coated mild steel enclosure with removable gland plate and cooling fan, the panel includes a colour touchscreen HMI. The touchscreen provides system and individual pump status, operating modes, logged information and diagnostic functions.

Modbus RTU RS485 enables SCADA communication, and a common fault relay provides remote status indication. Protection features include high and low limits, no-flow and pump cycle protection. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions.
