MATelec HydroWHIZ FPC-63420-C Mild Steel Three Phase 2.2 kW Variable Speed Four Pump Controller

Pressure boosting, water transfer and hot water circulation with four pumps benefit from the HydroWHIZ FPC-63420-C, offering variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. Its 2.2 kW VSD rating runs from a three-phase 400 Vac supply, matching motor speed to system demand.

Duty rotation balances run hours across the four pumps, with bumpless transfer ensuring smooth transitions between active drives. Additional pumps are brought into operation as demand increases to maintain the selected setpoint, then removed from service when they are no longer required. In pressure-control modes, Pipe Fill gently builds line pressure while jacking pump control wakes Pump 1 first, bringing additional pumps online if demand increases.

Proportional speed control responds to level or temperature changes, with PID control maintaining steady pressure. The IP44 powder-coated mild steel cabinet includes integral ventilation and a removable gland plate.

A colour touchscreen HMI provides system and individual pump status, operating modes, logged information and diagnostic functions. Modbus RTU RS485 enables SCADA and BMS integration, and a volt-free common fault relay offers remote alarm notification.

Configurable protection covers high and low limits, no-flow and feedback-signal faults. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions. Pump limiting can be configured where maximum flow or power requirements need to be kept within defined system limits.
