Stormwater, sewage and water transfer with four pumps are addressed by the HydroWHIZ FPC-63420-G, providing variable-speed regulation with level, pressure and temperature operating modes. Its 7.5 kW VSD rating runs from a three-phase 400 Vac supply, with speed adjusted according to system demand.
Control logic allows selection between level, pressure or temperature modes, with staggered pump starting reducing excessive current draw and water surge or hammer. Additional pumps are brought into operation as demand increases to maintain the selected setpoint, then removed from service when they are no longer required. In pressure-control modes, Pipe Fill builds line pressure while jacking pump control wakes Pump 1 first, activating additional pumps when demand increases.
Proportional speed control responds to level or temperature changes, with PID control maintaining steady pressure. The IP44 mild steel enclosure with thermostatically controlled fan includes a colour touchscreen HMI, pump circuit breakers and a padlockable isolator. The touchscreen provides system and individual pump status, operating modes, logged information and diagnostic functions.
Modbus RTU RS485 enables SCADA communication, and a volt-free common fault relay provides remote status indication. Configurable protection covers high and low limits, no-flow and feedback-signal faults. VSD and system protection functions monitor operating conditions and provide configurable responses to faults such as overload, pressure, level, temperature, no-flow and feedback-signal conditions.
