Designed to fit existing Zip and Birko commercial boiling taps, the Puretec CC-QZP28 is an aftermarket compatible replacement water filter cartridge. It is designed to replace Zip 28001, 28002, 28004, and 28005 filter elements, as well as Birko 1211047 and 1311068 cartridges. It connects directly into the existing quick-change filter head assembly without plumbing modifications.
Constructed from a polymer pressure canister, the cartridge features a physical length of 10 inches. The interior contains activated carbon block media designed for mains water supply lines. The complete cartridge weighs 0.48 kg and operates in liquid temperatures up to 55°C under normal cold water supply pressures.
Operational parameters include a rated water pressure range of 68 to 520 kPa. It has a specified nominal micron rating of 5 micron to capture physical sediment, clay, and rust particles. The cartridge is rated for an active capacity of 7,500 Litres of chlorine reduction.
The cartridge features a quick-change twist port that seals against standard Zip and Birko heads. It carries AS/NZS 3497 certification under licence number WM 74617. The carbon block uses active adsorption to treat dissolved chemical tastes, chlorine, and organic odours. It requires regular cartridge swaps.
