The Puretec DP10MP2 is a high-capacity dual-purpose replacement cartridge designed to provide both sediment filtration and chemical reduction in a single stage. Engineered for MaxiPlus 20" filter housings, this cartridge removes sand, silt, rust and particulate matter while also reducing chlorine, taste and odour from water supplies.
Constructed from carbon-impregnated non-cellulose polyester media, the cartridge combines mechanical filtration with activated carbon treatment for improved water quality. The pleated design significantly increases surface area, delivering high dirt-holding capacity and maintaining strong flow performance with minimal pressure drop.
With a 10-micron rating, the DP10MP2 effectively filters fine sediment while protecting downstream equipment and improving water clarity. The media is resistant to bacterial attack, making it suitable for non-chlorinated water sources such as rainwater tanks and bore supplies. Typical applications include whole-house filtration, drinking water pre-treatment and polishing stages for reverse osmosis systems.
