This kit includes a 10-inch pleated sediment cartridge and a 10-inch dual-purpose carbon cartridge. The 5 micron pleated sediment media provides an increased surface area for the extraction of silt, rust, and dirt from the tank water. The 10 micron carbon cartridge is designed for the reduction of taste and odour issues and the removal of chemical impurities in the rainwater. These 10-inch cartridges are built to fit the MaxiPlus housings used in the Hybrid E6 and I6 series, providing mechanical filtration before the water reaches the sterilization stage.

Disinfection is achieved through a 46W ultraviolet replacement lamp. This lamp utilizes germicidal light to target bacteria and viruses in the water stream through a chemical-free process. It is designed to work with the system's internal quartz path to provide exposure to the passing rainwater. Replacing the lamp at specified intervals supports the effectiveness of the UV treatment stage across the whole-house water distribution system during standard residential service.

Mechanical maintenance parts include a replacement quartz sleeve and durable O-rings for the filtration housings. Food-grade lubricant is provided to assist with the manual installation of the seals and to ensure water-tight housing performance. The design allows for tool-free cartridge replacement and supports the mechanical integrity of the Hybrid E6 and I6 systems.
