Residential rainwater filtration systems utilizing 20-inch housings require the periodic replacement of cartridges and sterilization lamps to maintain water clarity. The Puretec HR-EI7 maintenance kit is designed for the HYBRID-E7, HYBRID-I7, and HYBRID-E7AMC series systems. These systems are specified for whole-house rainwater treatment where the removal of sediment and the reduction of taste and odour issues are required. Regular maintenance is necessary to prevent the build-up of physical debris in household plumbing and to maintain the performance of the ultraviolet sterilization stage.

Constructed from pleated sediment media and dual-purpose carbon, the kit includes two 20-inch cartridges designed for high dirt-holding capacity. The 5 micron pleated sediment cartridge provides an increased surface area for the removal of rust, silt, and dirt from the tank water supply. The 10 micron dual-purpose carbon cartridge is specified for chemical reduction and the removal of unpleasant odours in the rainwater stream. These cartridges are designed to fit the 20-inch housings used in the Hybrid E7, Hybrid-I7 and Hybrid-E7AMC systems.

Sterilization is provided by a 46W UV replacement lamp that operates with the system's electrical supply. This lamp generates ultraviolet light to target bacteria and viruses without the addition of chemicals to the domestic water supply. It is configured to fit the internal sterilization path of the Hybrid E7 series housings. The replacement lamp supports the UV treatment stage as rainwater passes through the system before being distributed to household taps and fixtures.

Maintenance components include a quartz sleeve for lamp protection and replacement rubber O-rings for the filter housings. Food-grade lubricant is provided to aid in the manual sealing of the housings and to protect the gaskets during installation.
