Puretec PL052 Pleated Sediment 5 Micron 2.5" x 20" Water Filter Cartridge

Designed for whole-house pre-filtration, the high-capacity Puretec PL052 sediment cartridge captures sand and clay from incoming water. This cartridge is suitable for medium to large households, providing sediment-free water to all taps. It is suitable for standard slimline filter housings and operates on mains or tank supplies.

The physical construction utilizes synthetic non-woven polyester fabric folded into multiple pleat layers to capture dirt. This pleated polyester wraps around an internal polypropylene core that provides structural stiffness under high supply pressure. The ends are sealed in thermo-setting vinyl plastisol PVC, forming a unitized end cap.

Measuring 2.5 inches in diameter by 20 inches in length, the cartridge has a nominal rating of 5 microns. It incorporates more than 4 square feet (0.37 square meters) of active filter media to trap incoming particles. The structural overlap seam is sonically welded, which blocks internal water bypass and increases the physical capture efficiency of the multi-fold pleated fabric.

The unit operates at a maximum flow rate of 85 L/Min, keeping clean pressure drop low during service. It is rated for liquid temperatures from 4.4°C to 51.7°C (40°F to 125°F). Featuring washable polyester fabric, this model utilizes a reusable configuration, allowing physical cleaning between filtration runs.
