Puretec PL20MP1 Pleated Sediment MaxiPlus 20 Micron 4.5" x 10" Water Filter Cartridge

For whole-house rainwater systems, the wide-format Puretec PL20MP1 sediment filter captures medium-sized suspended solids. This wide cartridge reduces dirt and rust before water enters domestic plumbing lines. It is suitable for MaxiPlus filter housings and installs on high-volume pump discharge manifolds.

At its physical center, the cartridge incorporates a non-woven polyester fabric medium folded into a wide pleated layout. This pleated fabric surrounds a wide central polypropylene core that provides structural stiffness under pump pressure. The cartridge ends are embedded in thermo-setting vinyl plastisol PVC to form a unitized cap.

Measuring 4.5 inches by 10 inches, the model operates with a nominal rating of 20 microns. It incorporates more than 16 square feet (1.48 square meters) of active filter media to trap incoming particles. The structural overlap seam is sonically welded, which blocks internal water bypass and increases the physical capture efficiency.

The unit operates at a maximum flow rate of 94 L/Min, keeping clean pressure drop low during service. It is rated for liquid temperatures from 4.4°C to 51.7°C (40°F to 125°F). Thanks to the washable non-woven fibers, the cartridge incorporates a reusable design, allowing routine washing to extend service runs.
