Puretec PL501 Pleated Sediment 50 Micron 2.5" x 10" Water Filter Cartridge

To handle high-flow particulate straining, the Puretec PL501 sediment cartridge incorporates coarse synthetic fabric folds. This model is suitable for bore water pre-filtration, rainwater clarification, and light industrial process lines. It is suitable for standard slimline filter housings and installs inline on cold water connections.

Regarding construction, the cartridge utilizes non-woven polyester fabric folded into a pleated configuration for physical straining. This pleated synthetic media wraps around a central polypropylene core that provides structural stiffness. The multi-fold ends are sealed by immersion in thermo-setting vinyl plastisol PVC, creating a unitized cap.

The physical dimensions of the cartridge are 2.5 inches by 10 inches, with a nominal filtration rating of 50 microns. It incorporates more than 4 square feet (0.37 square meters) of active filter media to trap incoming particles. The structural overlap seam is sonically welded, which blocks internal water bypass and increases the physical capture efficiency.

The unit operates at a maximum flow rate of 48 L/Min, keeping clean pressure drop low during service. It is rated for liquid temperatures from 4.4°C to 51.7°C (40°F to 125°F). Thanks to the washable non-woven fibers, the cartridge incorporates a reusable design, allowing routine washing to extend service runs.
