Puretec PL502 Pleated Sediment 50 Micron 2.5" x 20" Water Filter Cartridge

The Puretec PL502 sediment filter cartridge provides high-volume physical separation of coarse sand, rust, and scale in larger facilities. This model is suitable for farm washdowns, irrigation systems, and commercial building pre-filtration. It is suitable for standard slimline filter housings and operates as a reusable inline strainer.

The core filtration element utilizes coarse-grade non-woven polyester fabric folded into multiple pleated layers. This multi-fold media wraps around an internal polypropylene core that provides structural stiffness under pump pressure. The pleated ends are sealed by immersion in thermo-setting vinyl plastisol PVC, forming a unitized cap.

The cartridge has physical dimensions of 2.5 inches by 20 inches, featuring a nominal rating of 50 microns. It incorporates more than 4 square feet (0.37 square meters) of active filter media to trap incoming particles. The structural overlap seam is sonically welded, which blocks internal water bypass and increases the physical capture efficiency.

The cartridge operates at a maximum flow rate of 95 L/Min, retaining excellent hydraulic flow properties. It is rated for fluid temperatures from 4.4°C to 51.7°C (40°F to 125°F). Thanks to the washable non-woven fibers, the cartridge incorporates a reusable design, allowing routine washing to extend service runs.
