Puretec SIB1-PL 0.5 Micron Water Filter with Integrated Pressure Limiting Valve

Under-sink water treatment for mains and town supplies is provided by the Puretec SIB1-PL system featuring an integrated pressure limiting valve. This unit provides treated drinking water by reducing chlorine, harmful chemicals, and sediment through a single-stage filtration process. It is specified for residential applications where incoming water pressure requires regulation to maintain system integrity. The compact design allows for installation under existing kitchen benches using the provided plumbing kit and faucet.

Constructed with a single 10-inch filter housing, the system utilizes an EC951 extruded carbon cartridge with a nominal 0.5 micron rating. The media is designed to target parasitic cysts, rust, and dirt while addressing taste and odour concerns in domestic water. The cartridge features a manual do-it-yourself replacement design to simplify ongoing maintenance for the user. Benchtop preparation for the kit requires a 12.5 mm diameter hole for the dedicated long-reach faucet assembly.

The system is rated for a flow rate of up to 7 Lpm and operates within a regulated pressure range of 100 to 500 kPa. It features an included pressure limiting valve to prevent damage from high-pressure spikes in the mains supply. The unit is suitable for operating temperatures between 0 and 45 °C and must be protected from freezing conditions. Connection to the water supply is achieved via a 1/2 inch BSP tee with 1/4 inch quick-connect hose and tubing.

Protection for the installation is enhanced by the included multifunction valve which reduces line pressure to safe operating levels. The system is supplied with an OT250 high-loop faucet for filtered water discharge, ensuring no mixing with untreated services. The housing assembly measures 170 mm in width and 330 mm in height to fit within standard kitchen cabinetry.
