Puretec SIB1 0.5 Micron Undersink Water Filter with OT250 Long-Reach Faucet

Single stage undersink water filtration for residential use is facilitated by the Puretec Basic SIB1 system. This unit provides clear drinking water by reducing chlorine, harmful chemicals, and sediment from mains or town water supplies. It is specified for domestic kitchen applications where space-efficient filtration and a dedicated faucet are required. The system features a single housing design that allows for straightforward integration under the kitchen bench using standard plumbing fittings.

Constructed with a 10-inch filter housing, the unit utilizes an EC951 extruded carbon cartridge with a 0.5 micron rating. This media is specified for the reduction of taste, odour, and microbiological cysts such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium. The system is designed for manual cartridge replacement, which can be performed without specialized tools using a housing spanner. Installation requires a 12.5 mm diameter hole for the dedicated long-reach faucet provided in the kit.

This system operates at a flow rate between 0 and 7 Lpm and is specified for a pressure range of 100 to 500 kPa. It uses 1/4 inch quick-connect hose fittings and a 1/2 inch BSP tee for connection to the cold water supply. The system is rated for an operating temperature range of 0 to 45 °C and must be protected from freezing. The housing dimensions are approximately 170 mm in width and 330 mm in height within the undersink cabinet.

Thermal and pressure protection are facilitated by the structural integrity of the housing, though an external limiting device is required if line pressure exceeds 500 kPa. The unit is supplied with an OT250 high-loop faucet for dedicated filtered water delivery at the kitchen sink. All necessary plumbing installation components are included to facilitate standard setup.
