The Puretec WU20-40M features high-flow 20-inch housings and is specified for the reduction of chemicals and sediment in residential mains water. This budget-focused dual-stage system installs on the building's main cold water inlet to improve quality throughout the whole house. It is suitable for town and mains supplies and provides filtered water to every facility outlet without the need for electrical power.

Built with heavy-duty housings measuring 390 mm wide and 730 mm high, the unit houses the high-capacity 20-inch filtration kit. Internal filtration integrates a 20-inch melt blown sediment cartridge (MB05LD2) and a 20-inch carbon block (EC10LD2) for tiered contaminant reduction. The system operates in liquid temperatures up to 52°C and has a total depth of 200 mm, requiring protection from freezing conditions.

Performance specifications include a high nominal flow rate of 60 L/Min through 40 mm (1.5 inch) BSP female plumbing connections. The assembly handles operational pressures ranging from 200 to 875 kPa and functions purely on mains line pressure. This dual-stage system features a 5-micron nominal rating for tiered reduction and requires an approved pressure limiting device if the supply exceeds 500 kPa.

Maintenance requirements involve cartridge replacement every 6 to 12 months based on building water demand and usage, with access provided by the dual housing design. The system provides a mechanism for reducing contaminants at the facility entry point to protect and prolong the life of appliances. It operates silently with no moving parts and is designed for low-maintenance whole house treatment. Mounting hardware is included with the kit.
