Puretec Z12 0.1 Micron Water Filter with DFU130 Quick-Twist Designer Faucet

Inline water filtration for residential undersink applications is provided by the Puretec Z12 quick-twist system. This unit provides treated drinking water by reducing chlorine, sediment, and microbiological contaminants through a three-stage filtration process. It is specified for town and mains water supplies where a compact design is required to fit within existing kitchen cabinetry. The system mounts either horizontally or vertically, providing installation flexibility for domestic water treatment.

Manufactured with a slimline housing, the unit utilizes Ultra Z filtration technology rated at 0.1 microns. The stage 1 media clarifies the water by removing rust, sand, and silt, while the stage 2 carbon block reduces chemical impurities and bad tastes. The stage 3 membrane targets bacteria such as E. coli and parasitic cysts like Cryptosporidium. The replacement cartridge used is the Z1-R model, which features a quick-twist mechanism for tool-free manual servicing during maintenance cycles.

The system operates at a flow rate of 5.5 Lpm and is specified for a pressure range of 172 to 520 kPa. It is supplied with a DFU130 designer faucet which features a high-arc spout for filtered water discharge at the sink. The operating temperature range is between 0 and 38 °C, and the unit must be protected from freezing at all times. Connection to the supply is achieved via a 1/2 inch BSP tee with 3/8 inch quick-connect tubing for the filter line.

Protection for the system is provided by the valve-in-head design which isolates the water supply automatically during cartridge replacement to prevent leakage. The kit includes a Smart Tee plumbing fitting and all necessary components for standard integration into domestic cold water lines. The tap installation requires a 12.5 mm diameter hole in the benchtop or sink surface.
