This cast iron submersible grinder pump is designed for transferring raw sewage; community waste; and domestic effluent under pressure. The integrated grinding mechanism cuts incoming solids into small pieces; enabling transfer via smaller diameter pipe networks to prevent clogging. It is suitable for domestic effluent pumping; campsite drainage; and pressurized sewerage installations.
Operating on a three-phase electricity supply at 415 V; this unit features a 1.5 kW motor drawing a rated current of 3.9 Amps. Visually evaluated from the manufacturer's performance curve; the pump achieves a maximum total head of approximately 24.5 m and a maximum flow rate of approximately 144 L/Min. The motor utilizes a direct on line starting method and runs at a speed of 3000 min-1.
The mechanical construction includes a vortex impeller dynamically balanced for high-gap structures. It is fitted with a double-face mechanical seal in an oil chamber; featuring ceramic and carbon upper faces with silicon carbide lower faces. A built-in oil lifter ensures continuous lubrication of the shaft seals even when the oil level drops below standard volume.
Safe operation is supported by a circle thermal protector built into the motor housing which directly interrupts the motor circuit during overcurrent or excessive heat accumulation. The power connection consists of a 6-meter PVC cabtyre cable with an anti-wicking block. For simplified inspection and maintenance; this model can be used with the optional guide rail fitting set; model number TOS32MG21.5.
