This high-capacity cast iron submersible grinder pump is engineered to manage unscreened sewage and heavy industrial wastewater containing solid debris. It utilizes an aggressive grinding cutter to reduce fabrics; plastics; and organic waste into a slurry before discharge under pressure. This mechanism makes it suitable for factory effluents; campsite wastewater; and municipal manhole drainage.
Operating on three-phase 415 V electricity; the heavy-duty 3.7 kW motor draws a rated running current of 7.5 Amps. Visual interpolation of the manufacturer's performance curve shows a maximum head of approximately 35 m and a maximum discharge capacity of approximately 330 L/Min. The motor incorporates direct on line starting and a 2-pole synchronous speed profile.
The pump's hydraulics utilize a dynamically balanced vortex impeller with a high-gap clearance structure for minimal clogging. Sealing is managed by a dual-face mechanical seal within an oil chamber where both upper and lower seal faces run in a clean lubricating medium. The seal configuration relies on silicon carbide to silicon carbide faces for supreme abrasion resistance.
Electrical protection is provided by a circle thermal protector that directly isolates the motor circuit if heat or current thresholds are breached. The unit is equipped with a 6-meter PVC power cable with a built-in anti-wicking block to stop water ingress. It can be paired with the optional guide rail fitting set TOS50MG23.7 for convenient sump retrieval.
