This cast iron submersible drainage pump is developed for draining treated effluent and light storm water carrying small solid matters at wastewater plants. It features a high-head hydraulic profile that efficiently lifts water from deep underground sumps or transfers it over long distances. Suitable applications include treated water deforming; rainwater dewatering; and general sump drainage.
The motor operates on a 415 V three-phase power supply; delivering 1.5 kW of power and drawing a rated running current of 3.5 Amps. Traced from the 50Hz manufacturer performance curve; it achieves a maximum head of approximately 22 m and a maximum flow rate of approximately 540 L/Min. This 2-pole induction motor starts direct on line and runs at 3000 min-1.
Its hydraulic casing features a cast iron semi-open multi-vane impeller that allows a free passage of solids up to 11mm in diameter. The shaft is sealed with a double mechanical seal in an oil chamber with ceramic-to-carbon upper faces and silicon carbide-to-silicon carbide lower faces. A built-in oil lifter supplies lubricant to the seal faces even under low oil volumes.
Motor protection is maintained by a circle thermal protector built into the watertight housing that shuts the circuit if overcurrent or heat builds up. The power cable is a 6-meter PVC sheath cable featuring an anti-wicking block at the entry section. Sump installation and maintenance can be simplified by utilizing the optional guide rail set model TOS3-50.
