    Pairs well with

Municipal wastewater systems often demand robust solids-handling capabilities in wet well installations. This Tsurumi vortex pump operates in sewage lifting stations and collection pits, handling raw sewage and unscreened storm water. It provides active flow management for municipal projects and commercial buildings where clogging represents a significant risk.

Operating on a Three-phase, 415 V supply, the unit is powered by a 1.5 kW induction motor. This motor configuration produces a rated current of 3.5 Amps and operates at a synchronous speed of 3000 rpm. The hydraulic design delivers a maximum head of Approximately 20.5 m and a maximum flow of Approximately 330 L/Min, handling varying system pressures.

Rotation of the vortex impeller generates a rapid centrifugal flow within the wide pump casing. This physical arrangement allows solids up to 35mm to pass without direct contact with the impeller vanes, preventing clogging and winding of fibrous materials. The low-height volute casing minimizes wear from grit and abrasive particulates during raw sewage drainage.

The physical construction features a high-grade cast iron pump body and a 420 stainless steel shaft. A double mechanical seal in an oil chamber has silicon carbide lower and ceramic upper faces. The pump operates in liquids up to 40°C and supports optional TOS guide rail fitting.

    FEATURES

    • Silicon carbide lower faces run in oil to ensure reliable shaft sealing.
    • Forcibly supplies turbine oil to seal faces, ensuring cooling even if oil volume drops, preventing dry run mechanical seal failure.
    • Stainless steel shaft resists rotational fatigue and mechanical stresses.
    • Built-in thermal protector directly cuts the circuit during overcurrent.
    • Recessed design creates a whirlpool flow to handle sewage without clogging or winding of fibrous materials.
    • Watertight entry prevents capillary water ingress into the motor conductors.
