Corrosive industrial wastewater transfer and aggressive liquid handling are the primary applications for this high-head submersible pump. Engineered to handle water of a corrosive nature, it is constructed from 316 stainless steel casting to withstand the demanding conditions found in mines and chemical plants. Its metallurgy provides superior corrosion resistance for wastewater with a pH range from 3 to 10, ensuring operational reliability.

This 5.5 kW / 415v unit achieves a maximum head of approximately 30 m and delivers a flow rate of approximately 1200 L/Min. The dry-type induction motor utilizes a Direct on Line starting method (with Star-Delta available on request) and is continuous-duty rated. It manages corrosive liquids with up to 10% dry matter through an 80 mm discharge bore while maintaining stable hydraulic performance.

The semi-open multi-vane impeller facilitates the passage of solids up to 18 mm, supporting the movement of site debris through the pump casing. The pump incorporates a seal pressure relief port to protect the shaft seal from high pumping pressure by drawing particles away. This hydraulic design assists the movement of aggressive liquids while resisting the erosive impact of abrasive solids typical of mining duty.

Mechanical durability is supported by dual inside mechanical seals with silicon carbide faces and an Oil Lifter for stable lubrication. Structural features include a 316 stainless steel casting frame and shaft, with special FKM rubber parts for chemical resistance. Protection is provided by an anti-wicking cable entry and a circle thermal protector built into the motor housing to protect against moisture and thermal stress.

    FEATURES

    • SCS14 (316 stainless steel casting) construction provides extreme durability in aggressive and corrosive industrial fluids.
    • Semi-open multi-vane impeller allows for the passage of solids up to 18 mm without compromising hydraulic efficiency.
    • Seal pressure relief port protects the shaft seal by preventing excessive pumping pressure from applying to the seal faces.
    • Dual mechanical seals with silicon carbide faces offer high resistance to wear and heat compared to standard materials.
    • Tsurumi's proprietary Oil Lifter ensures the upper seal faces remain lubricated even at low oil volumes for prolonged seal life.
    • FKM (FPM) rubber parts for O-rings and packings provide chemical compatibility for acidic wastewater and mine runoff.
    • Anti-wicking cable entry block protects the motor housing from moisture incursion caused by capillary action or damage.
    • Circle thermal protector built into the motor housing proactively cuts the circuit during thermal overload or overcurrent.
