Where fibrous solids and thick sludge are present, large municipal installations require powerful pumping units. This heavy-duty 4-pole pump operates in municipal sewage treatment facilities, deep drainage basins, and industrial lift stations. It transfers unscreened raw sewage, thick municipal sludge, and heavy factory wastewater.
The unit features an 11 kW Three-phase induction motor operating on a 415 V electrical supply. It starts via the star-delta method and draws high starting currents. Operating at 1500 rpm, the hydraulic system achieves a maximum head of Approximately 22.8 m and a maximum flow rate of Approximately 1800 L/Min.
A recessed vortex impeller made of dynamically balanced cast iron is paired with a widely opened volute casing. The design provides an 80mm solids passage, enabling large solid matters to pass through the pump casing with minimal impeller contact. This centrifugal flow prevents long fibers from wrapping around the impeller or shaft.
The physical structure consists of a robust cast iron body, high-tensile stainless steel shaft, and C3 ball bearings. Sealing is managed by a double-face mechanical seal with silicon carbide faces in an oil chamber. Built-in miniature thermal protectors embedded in the windings protect the motor from thermal damage. It operates up to 40°C and supports TOS guide rails.
