Municipal sewage systems often require high-power, slow-speed pumps to handle heavy, solids-laden effluents. This high-capacity vortex pump operates in municipal lift stations, wastewater plants, and commercial drainage networks. It processes raw sewage, industrial waste, and stormwater carrying solid particles and fibrous materials.
Powered by a 7.5 kW Three-phase induction motor, the pump runs on a 415 V electrical supply. The 4-pole motor draws high power and runs at 1500 rpm. The hydraulic configuration delivers a maximum head of Approximately 19 m and a maximum flow rate of Approximately 1860 L/Min, ensuring rapid water clearance.
Rotation of the cast iron vortex impeller recessed in the pump casing generates a rapid centrifugal flow. With an 80mm solids passage, the design enables large solid matters to pass through the casing without direct impeller contact. This practically unchokable design protects the pump from clogging and mechanical blockages.
Constructed with a heavy-duty cast iron casing and a high-tensile stainless steel shaft, the unit is highly rigid. The double-face mechanical seal resides in an oil chamber with silicon carbide seal faces. Overheating protection is managed by miniature thermal protectors embedded in each motor winding. It handles liquids up to 40°C and supports TOS guide rails.
