The flame-proof Tsurumi KRDX47.5 is designed for heavy-duty dewatering and slurry handling in hazardous mining and excavation environments. It is suitable for operating in flame-proof applications. The pump handles abrasive water containing silt and mud.

With an electric motor rated at approximately 7.5 kW, the pump generates a maximum flow capacity of approximately 2200 L/Min and achieves a maximum head of approximately 17.0 m. The discharge connection has an approximately 100 mm bore diameter to support continuous water evacuation.

For hazardous dewatering applications, the KRDX47.5 features this flame-proof pump incorporates a high-chromium cast iron semi-open impeller and a shaft-mounted agitator. The agitating mechanism continuously stirs and suspends sand, slurry, and muddy solids for suction. The casing is constructed from ductile cast iron to resist severe abrasive wear from particulates.

Constructed with a flame-proof dry-type induction motor, the pump is rated for continuous running inside hazardous zones. It features miniature thermal protectors embedded in each winding that trigger circuit shutdown if excessive heat occurs. The mechanical design incorporates dual inside mechanical seals with silicon carbide faces in an oil bath, protected by an anti-wicking watertight cable entry.
