For massive infrastructure projects, the high-capacity Tsurumi KRS1022 is designed for massive dewatering applications in tunnels, bridges, and dams. This high-capacity cast iron pump operates in large construction pits and excavation basins. It is suitable for continuous drainage of clean or silty water.
The pump operates with a rated motor output of approximately 22.0 kW, this model operates with a maximum flow volume of approximately 12000 L/Min and a maximum head of approximately 12.2 m. The pump incorporates an approximately 250 mm discharge bore .
For high-volume flow, the KRS1022 features a top discharge, flow-thru design with a closed cast iron impeller. This flow-thru layout maximizes motor cooling by directing the pumped liquid around the motor casing. This closed impeller configuration is suitable for rapid water evacuation.
Its rugged design is suitable for continuous running with its motor exposed to air due to the top discharge, side flow cooling configuration. The pump features dual inside silicon carbide mechanical seals operating in an isolated oil chamber with an Oil Lifter. An automatic circle thermal protector is embedded in the motor windings to prevent overheating, while an anti-wicking cable block seals the electrical entry.
