Large-scale slurry management in mining, quarries, and foundation construction projects demands equipment that can handle dense, abrasive materials without frequent maintenance. This submersible unit serves as a primary solution for the displacement of bentonite slurry and water heavily laden with silt, earth, and sand. The design is specifically configured to manage materials that settle rapidly, facilitating uninterrupted facility maintenance and site water control in abrasive environments.

Equipped with a 3.7 kW / 415v three-phase motor, the pump achieves up to approximately 22 m of head and up to approximately 794 L/Min flow through an 80 mm bore. The 2-pole dry-type induction motor delivers the hydraulic force necessary for moving high-viscosity settled slurries with a maximum dry matter content of 10%. The system operates reliably within a pH range of 5 to 9, delivering consistent throughput during long-term industrial service cycles.

Hydraulic efficiency is maintained by a high-chromium cast iron agitator that proactively stirs solids into a pumpable consistency to maintain clear intake flow. Paired with a semi-open impeller of high-chromium cast iron, the pump facilitates the movement of particles up to 10 mm while resisting the erosive impact of high-velocity abrasive particles. This engineered flow path streamlines the transport of abrasive solids, lowering internal mechanical wear during high-volume discharge.

A rugged gray cast iron frame and top discharge, side flow design enable effective motor cooling during drawdown. Protection is maximized by a double-face mechanical seal with silicon carbide faces and an oil seal that acts as a dust barrier against abrasive particles. The unit includes a circle thermal protector built into the motor housing and a PVC sheathed power cable with an anti-wicking block to prevent internal moisture ingress.

    FEATURES

    • Integrated high-chromium iron agitator ensures smooth suction of settled matters by creating a downward suspending current.
    • Top discharge configuration reduces the overall pump footprint for easier placement in confined industrial sumps.
    • Dual silicon carbide mechanical seals offer five times higher heat and wear resistance compared to standard tungsten carbide faces.
    • Proprietary Oil Lifter ensures the upper seal faces remain lubricated and cooled down to one-third of the normal oil volume.
    • Side flow design enables efficient heat transfer to the pumped liquid, allowing for safe motor exposure during sump drawdown.
    • Watertight cable entry with an anti-wicking block protects the motor from capillary water incursion and condensation.
    • Built-in circle thermal protector directly interrupts the motor circuit in the event of excessive heat or overcurrent.
    • High-chromium cast iron wear components significantly extend maintenance intervals in the most abrasive sand-handling duties.
