Tsurumi KTZ35.5 Cast Iron High Head Drainage Pump for Deep Excavation Dewatering with Semi-open Impeller

Large-scale heavy-duty dewatering in civil engineering and mining projects demands equipment capable of exceptional vertical lift and high-volume output. This submersible pump excels in moving abrasive sand-carrying water and stormwater from deep excavations where system reliability is critical to progress. The flagship design ensures high-head performance while maintaining a slim footprint for easier placement in restricted foundation pits.

Powered by a 5.5 kW / 415v motor, the unit generates up to approximately 32 m of head and up to approximately 1100 L/Min flow through its 80 mm bore. This output supports the lift required for high-elevation transfer and deep site water control. The 2-pole dry-type induction motor handles drainage water with up to 10% dry matter across a wide pH range of 5 to 9.

Hydraulic efficiency is maintained by a high-chromium cast iron semi-open impeller designed to resist the erosive wear caused by abrasive site debris. It facilitates the movement of solids up to 8.5 mm, ensuring that site water is displaced effectively through the side flow casing. This design ensures that abrasive particles are carried through the pump with minimal housing impact, significantly extending the service life of the pump housing.

Dual inside silicon carbide mechanical seals and Tsurumi's patented Oil Lifter provide stable shaft sealing. A gray cast iron body and top discharge design ensure efficient motor cooling during partially exposed operation. Protection features include an anti-wicking cable entry and a circle thermal protector to guard against moisture and thermal stress.
