Pool sanitisation systems that manage chlorine production, filtration scheduling and connected equipment from a single control platform can significantly simplify ongoing pool maintenance. The Waterco Electrochlor PRO 4000 40g/hr Mineral Chlorinator automatically manages sanitisation, filtration and auxiliary equipment while producing up to 40g/hr of chlorine for residential swimming pools. Compatible with both standard salt pools and Waterco Mineral Crystal systems, the unit converts dissolved salt into sanitising chlorine through an electrolytic process that continuously assists with controlling algae, bacteria and other waterborne contaminants.

The Electrochlor PRO 4000 is rated for swimming pools up to 120,000 litres in temperate climates and up to 84,000 litres in tropical climates. An intelligent power pack continuously monitors chlorine production and regulates the electrical energy supplied to the electrolytic salt cell, helping maintain efficient chlorine generation. The chlorinator incorporates a 13-plate salt cell design and operates from a single-phase 170-264V power supply with 206W input power, 8.5A output current and a maximum total current rating of 10A.

A backlit LCD display provides a clear snapshot of pool temperature and operating status information in a single location. Variable speed pump compatibility allows the system to automatically adjust pump operation according to programmed filtration cycles when connected to compatible Waterco variable speed pumps. Additional automation capabilities include dual timer-controlled power outlets, optional valve actuator integration and auxiliary equipment management for connected pool accessories.

Protection and monitoring functions are incorporated throughout the system to support reliable operation. Low salt alarm functionality, flow protection, no water flow detection and built-in alarm diagnostics assist with identifying operational issues before they affect pool performance. The self-cleaning chlorinator cell uses reverse polarity operation to minimise calcium build-up on the cell plates, while the clear UV stabilised cell housing allows convenient visual inspection of the titanium electrode assembly.
