Large residential swimming pools require consistent sanitisation capacity to maintain water quality, and the Waterco Electrochlor PRO 5000 50g/hr Mineral Chlorinator is designed to automate chlorine production, filtration control and auxiliary equipment management from a single platform. Producing up to 50g/hr of chlorine, the system converts dissolved salt or Waterco Mineral Crystals into sanitising chlorine through an electrolytic process, helping maintain clean and healthy pool water while reducing the need for manual chemical dosing and routine intervention.

The Electrochlor PRO 5000 is suitable for swimming pools up to 140,000 litres in temperate climates and up to 96,000 litres in tropical climates. An intelligent power pack continuously monitors chlorine production and regulates electrical energy supplied to the electrolytic salt cell for efficient operation. The chlorinator incorporates a 13-plate salt cell design and operates from a single-phase 170-264V power supply with 239W input power, 9.1A output current, a maximum total current rating of 10A and a cell voltage of 21V.

A backlit LCD display provides immediate access to pool temperature, chlorinator status and operating information from a single screen. Variable speed pump compatibility allows automatic adjustment of pump operation when connected to compatible Waterco variable speed pumps, while dual timer-controlled outlets assist with managing filtration cycles and connected equipment. Optional valve actuator integration further expands automated control capabilities for selected pool functions and water features.

Multiple monitoring and protection functions support long-term system reliability. Low salt alarm functionality, flow protection, no water flow detection and built-in alarm diagnostics assist with identifying operating irregularities before they affect sanitisation performance. The self-cleaning chlorinator cell uses reverse polarity operation to minimise calcium accumulation on the cell plates, while the clear UV stabilised housing allows convenient visual inspection of the titanium electrode assembly.
