The Waterco Hydrostorm ECO-V 100 is an energy-efficient variable speed pool pump designed for residential swimming pool filtration systems. Equipped with a permanent magnet brushless DC motor and advanced electronic speed control, the pump allows precise adjustment of motor speed to match the pool’s circulation requirements while significantly reducing energy consumption and operating noise.
Unlike traditional single-speed pumps, the Hydrostorm ECO-V uses three main operating speeds (ECO, Medium and High) with fine speed adjustment in 25 RPM increments. This allows the pump to operate most of the time at low speed for filtration while using higher speeds only for demanding tasks such as backwashing or vacuuming. Running at lower speeds can reduce energy consumption by up to 82% compared with conventional pumps.
Designed for pools up to approximately 50,000 litres, the ECO-V 100 provides reliable circulation while maintaining ultra-quiet operation, producing noise levels as low as about 55.5 dBA on ECO speed. Its durable UV-stabilised thermoplastic construction, corrosion-resistant components and large strainer basket ensure long-term performance in outdoor pool environments.
